Transit Authority Memo
The BugsVille Department of Public Transportation provides comprehensive transit services to the citizens of BugsVille through an extensive network of bus routes, taxi dispatch, and one express line that was supposed to be temporary but has been running for a year now. Our operators navigate the streets with precision, patience, and the quiet determination of someone who has been cut off by the same DOT truck three times today.
All transit operators progress through a rigorous tier system from Trainee to the legendary Road King — a rank achieved by those who have driven every route, survived every rush hour, and can parallel park a bus. The department operates 24/7 because the citizens of BugsVille never sleep. Neither do we. Not by choice.

Service Hours
Route Operations
All routes are subject to change, delay, or existential reevaluation without notice.
Taxi Division
Taxi Division
Handles all taxi operations across BugsVille. Operators navigate the city streets with the confidence of someone who has memorized exactly one shortcut and uses it for every fare. Fare disputes are settled by the meter. The meter is always right. Do not argue with the meter.
Bus Operations
Bus Operations
Manages all scheduled bus routes throughout the BugsVille metropolitan area. Routes are planned, optimized, and then modified based on wherever the driver feels like going. Complaints about bus routes not stopping at your house are filed under 'infrastructure requests' and reviewed annually. Current annual review backlog: 3 years.
Express Routes
Express Routes
Premium express service connecting major BugsVille landmarks at speeds that can only be described as 'ambitious.' The express route was supposed to be faster than the regular route. It is the same route with fewer stops and a more confident driver. Estimated arrival times are provided for entertainment purposes only.
Lost & Found
Lost & Found
The department's official repository of items left behind on BugsVille transit vehicles. Current inventory includes: one shoe (left, size unknown), two hats (neither matching), a lunchbox containing something that used to be a sandwich, and a note that says 'I'll be back for this.' They have not been back. Items are held for 30 days before being donated to Parks & Rec, who also do not want them.
Depot Maintenance
Depot Maintenance
Responsible for the upkeep and repair of all BPT vehicles. The maintenance crew can fix a bus engine in under an hour and will tell you about it for the next three. Current fleet condition: 'roadworthy with character.' The coffee machine in the break room is considered critical infrastructure and receives priority maintenance over all vehicles.
Rider Relations
Rider Relations
Manages citizen feedback, route suggestions, and the suggestion box that nobody empties. BPT once declined a request from Parks & Rec to add a bus stop near a 'future park.' The reasoning: Parks & Rec does not have a park. This decision remains under review. Parks & Rec has not built a park. The review continues.
Transit Ranking System
Ranks are computed from your days of service, combined taxi and bus career levels, and citizen kudos received.
Transit Trainee
Starting rank
Bus Operator
7+ days, 50+ combined level, 5+ kudos
Senior Operator
30+ days, 300+ combined level, 50+ kudos
Route Supervisor
90+ days, 1000+ combined level, 200+ kudos
Inter-Departmental Relations
Our ongoing relationships with BugsVille's other municipal departments. All arrivals are estimated.
BugsVille Police Department
BPD
BPD installed additional cameras at three intersections after we were 'observed running red lights.' The lights were amber. We have reviewed our dashcam footage. It was close. We stand by amber.
Dept. of Transportation
DOT
Every late bus in BugsVille is DOT\'s fault. Their construction zones have added an average of 11 minutes to Route 4. DOT insists the delays are 'temporary.' They have been temporary for fourteen months. We have adjusted our definition of 'on time.'
BugsVille Fire Department
BFD
A BFD engine once blocked our Route 7 bus for eleven minutes during a call. We cataloged this as a 'natural obstacle,' alongside fallen trees and confused deer. BFD took offense. The deer did not.
Bureau of Chauffeured Transport
BCT
BCT considers us 'competition.' We consider them a novelty. Our buses carry forty passengers. Their cabs carry four. We have done the math. BCT has not done the math. The math is not in their favor.
BugsVille Racing League
BRL
BRL proposed a 'race-themed bus route' and seemed genuinely disappointed when we explained our top speed is 35 mph. They called it 'a commute, not a race.' We called it 'reliable transportation.' They hung up.
Parks & Recreation
BPR
Parks & Rec requested a bus stop near 'the future site of a potential park.' We declined on the grounds that neither a park, nor a future, nor a site currently exists. They remain optimistic. We remain at the current stop.
Waste Management
BWM
BWM refuses to move the dumpster at Bus Stop 7. They say it 'has seniority.' We have consulted municipal code. There is no seniority clause for dumpsters. BWM disagrees. The dumpster remains.
BugsVille News Network
BNN
BNN reported that our buses 'arrive when they arrive.' We found this accurate and published it in our official brochure. BNN did not expect to become our marketing department. Neither did we.
BugsVille Wiki Contributors
BWC
BWC documented every bus route. We insist Route 4 does not exist. BWC has photographic evidence, GPS data, and three witness statements. We are 'reviewing the evidence' and have asked them to 'please stop riding Route 4 for research purposes.'
Become a Transit Operator
Step 1: Get Your Pass
Toggle the BPT role in your account settings. No interview, no driving test, no asking if you've ever backed a bus into a fire hydrant. We believe in learning on the job. The hydrants will forgive you.
Step 2: Learn the Routes
Study the BugsVille transit map. Or don't — most seasoned operators navigate by instinct, landmark, and the faint smell of the DOT chili truck parked on 5th Street. You'll develop your own system.
Step 3: Hit the Road
Start driving. Taxi fares, bus routes, express runs — it all counts toward your tier. Reach Road King and you'll have driven more miles than some roads are long. The coffee machine at the depot is free. You'll need it.
Next stop: everywhere. Please hold on, the driver is learning.
